Thinking About: Leather Laces

Both the laces on my Thorogood boots and my L.L. Bean boots are falling apart so I'm in need of some new laces for both pairs. There are a few places I'm thinking I'll be able to pick them up but we'll have to see. My Dad says that he doesn't like leather laces because he always breaks them, however I've heard the opposite from others and since the laces on my Bean boots only lasted a month I figure leather laces have a good chance of lasting longer.

  1. You can pick up a pack of 'Kiwi' brand leather laces at any hardware shop in town. $5 and a half bucks and your set.

  2. Thanks for the tip. I'll stop by Rona tomorrow and see if they have them.

  3. I put a pair of Kiwi brand in my desert boots (got them at Mark's Work Wearhouse) and haven't had any problems with breaking. Love the way they look in those Keds!
