Pickup: Smartwool Camo Socks

I picked up these Smartwool camo socks a few months ago but it hadn't been cold enough to try them out. I woke up today to face -20 degree weather on my walk to school so it was a perfect day for them.

    Couple questions:

    Are they the Thinsulate boots? Did you go one size down, as their site recommends?

    I usually wear an 11 and I got these in a 10 and they fit great. I did not get the thinsulate ones. But if I were to get another pair I'd get ones with some sort of insulation as these aren't warm enough when it gets really cold here.
